Maintenance Technician

LEI is looking to hire a skilled worker to join us as Maintenance Technician! The preferred applicant will have experience in carpentry, electric and plumbing. No certifications are required, but a thorough background in the skills required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performing general maintenance at our office and site locations
• Perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs
• Working knowledge of standard safety procedures
• Must be willing to be on-call
• Can work alone or as a team
• Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions

• Ability to operated heavy equipment such as skid loaders, small excavators, jetters

Plumbing

• Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing systems and a variety of plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets and water heaters

Carpentry

• Performs carpentry related tasks
• Makes repairs to tile and carpet as necessary
• Makes repairs to windows, doors, floors, gates, roofs and ceilings
• Framing new walls and structures

Electrical

• Repair and replacing electrical wires, fuses, switches, motors, generators, lighting systems and other fixtures/equipment
• Installs conduits, wires, pull boxes and switches with the possibility of alterations
• Identifies damaged or worn electrical components and takes corrective action

Requirements

• Must have excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or GED required
• Applicant must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to life 50 lbs. at a time
• Operating hand tools and power tools
• Willing to follow all LEI biosecurity guidelines including downtime, times between sites and disinfecting
