History & Expansion
Livingston Enterprises, Inc. is owned by Bruce and Trudy Livingston. Bruce began his own operation with six gilts at the age of eight and with hard work and determination has grown LEI to 35,000 sows.
He earned three of the gilts by trading labor working for his dad and uncles. Two gilts were purchased with earnings from a 4-H swine project and one gilt was won by placing first at a swine judging contest.
In 1987, Bruce graduated high school and at that time owned and operated a 150 sow farrow to finish operation. In 1996, he stopped producing finishing hogs and transitioned his operation into a 2,200 sow breed to wean facility.
Bruce and Trudy’s oldest son, Connor Livingston, joined the family business in 2015 and is currently the Director of Sites & Mill Operations.
