Feed Mill Operator

At LEI, we produce high quality feed for our herds and that is why we are looking for a responsible and self-motivated individual to join us as our Feed Mill Operator! The Feed Mill Operator has full operational oversight of the feed milling process. This individual must possess computer skills and have good communication skills to work with management, coworkers, corn producers and vendors. We receive grain from local farmers to make safe and quality feed at our state-of-the-art feed mill, located in Daykin, Nebraska.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Complete Mill Operations including but not limited to bulk and bagged ingredient receiving, maintaining adequate levels of products in Micro table system, and loading of feed products
• Ability to work weekends during harvest and during bad weather events
• Assist as needed with daily activities including clerical and office functions, such as: scale operation, scanning documents, and providing professional customer service.  Verification of information, reports and archived documents is essential
• Comply with FDA, OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies as policies apply and are provided by LEI Mills, LLC
• Good computer, communication skills and customer service skills are required
• Complete all assigned paperwork accurately and neatly, perform any and all tasks in a timely manner
• Keen awareness of Mill operations to help maximize feed mill efficiency.
• Conducts and helps manage inventory
• Maintains and promotes a safe work environment
• Test and review feed/grain quality
• Ensures the quality of ingredients through storage, including bin rotation and clean out
• Responsible for scheduling team member shifts
